TRAVEL THE WORLD - WORCESTER BEACON, U.K.
The Malvern Hills in Worcestershire were another favourite place to walk when I lived in Birmingham. On this day in 1994, I climbed to the highest spot, Worcester Beacon. Although I was all alone, there were just enough other people around to provide a degree of human companionship. If my memory doesn't fail me, the climb took perhaps an hour and a half and was a bit strenuous, but, oh, what a wonderful feeling when the summit was finally reached and the view could be appreciated!
